Today we released update of the Base firmware components system and web to version 1.7.5.

Most important changes

The highlight of this release is completely new support for MODBUS/TCP and MODBUS/UDP. We also changed entire MODBUS configuration screen in order to make it much more comfortable to use.

Second important change is introduction of the Links tab, which allows for easy configuration of point to point or group links between multiple Bases.

Other changes

  • Improved LCN scanner
  • Fixed Value elements in Display screen
  • Ability to block events from other LCN segments
  • Popups telling about correct configuration save don't need OK press
  • Support for LCN.dali commands
  • Faster configurator loading on Bases with PAK files
  • Fixed translation errors
  • Correct input field focusing in latest versions of Chrome
  • Small cosmetic changes like column widths adjustments etc
  • Protection of Switch elements with PIN codes (only on DSP10)

New tutorial

Soon we will publish a tutorial, which will describe in detail how to use MODBUS/TCP and MODBUS/UDP to control diverse devices, including modular PLC from Beckhoff.

Then we will publish set of tutorials, that will demonstrate use of multiple Base modules in apartment complex, and usage of Bases in large, multisegment LCN installation as LCN-SK substitue.

About making update

To changes in MODBUS configuration file syntax it is required to open and save configuration. If that is not done, Serial-4MB will not work. It is also required to update channel identifiers to new format.
