What is DOMIQ Base 2.0?
DOMIQ Base 2.0 is the heart of the installation – the central module that collects data from sensors, connects devices from different manufacturers and executes the building control logic.
This is a completely new version of our key module. Based on a fresh, modern hardware architecture, it opens up new possibilities for your installation and provides a solid foundation for future technologies.
In practice, DOMIQ Base 2.0 plays three roles at once.
- Firstly, it is an integrator: it talks to the building bus, energy meters, inverters, alarm control panel, IP cameras, air conditioning and IoT devices, reducing them to one common language.
- Secondly, it is an automation engine: it executes scenes, schedules and rules that you define yourself, without depending on a third-party cloud provider.
- Thirdly, it is a visualization server: it provides control screens of the DOMIQ Remote application on the phone, tablet and panel.
DOMIQ Base 2.0 doesn’t replace your electrical system or bus—it builds on it. Control operates locally, within your network, so your home remains operational even when the internet goes out.
What exactly does the new generation change?
DOMIQ Base 2.0 is a completely new version of our key module. Based on a fresh, modern hardware architecture, it opens up completely new possibilities for your installation and provides a solid base for future technologies.
DOMIQ Base 2.0 runs on a completely new hardware platform that delivers up to 40 times greater performance. The system responds faster, runs more smoothly, and maintains stability even in highly complex installations—those where dozens of devices are polled simultaneously and the logic calculates dozens of conditions per second.
The DOMIQ Base 2.0 module provides access to all existing features and integrations, but also offers completely new capabilities, including integrations requiring an encrypted connection (TLS) and future features based on AI and machine learning. It’s an investment in a solution that will be developed and updated for years to come.
Greater processing power means that every command in the DOMIQ Remote app is executed virtually instantly. Changing lighting, blinds, or temperature settings is seamless, and the interface operates exceptionally smoothly—even in large installations with multiple devices.
DOMIQ Base 2.0 is equipped with significantly more memory, allowing you to store more data, graphics, and configurations without sacrificing performance.
