DOMIQ carries out R&D research
Since August 1, 2026, we have been implementing a project aimed at developing a measurement system for diagnosing the energy efficiency of buildings.
DOMIQ SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ received funding from the European Regional Development Fund under the European Funds for Opolskie 2021-2027 programme.
The funds were awarded for the implementation of the project entitled “Adaptive system for detecting changes in the energy performance of residential premises integrated with the Domiq Smart Home structure,” under which the following activities are planned:
- Industrial research on the construction of the DL model and its verification in laboratory conditions.
- Development work related to the implementation of the DL model in the target system and its verification in real conditions.
The aim of the project is to expand DOMIQ’s research and development activities by developing an innovative measurement and analytical system for monitoring thermal energy losses in buildings. The project involves conducting industrial research and development work leading to the development of a system based on indirect measurements and a one-dimensional model of the building’s thermal balance. The solution will enable the analysis of changes in the building’s energy performance, early detection of anomalies and insulation degradation, and identification of areas with increased energy losses. The project involves developing the concept and structure of the measurement system, implementing a data logging system, conducting measurements under various operating conditions, and developing a simplified model to be implemented in a microcomputer system.
The end result will be the development and field testing of a prototype of a new product – a measurement and analytical system for diagnosing building energy efficiency. Implementation of the project will enable DOMIQ to increase its research and development potential and expand its competencies in data analysis, thermal process modeling, and measurement system design. Implementation of the project’s results will allow the company to introduce a new product to the market, representing a significant step in the development of its technological offerings in the field of building automation.
The target group of the project results are installers and integrators of home and building automation systems who design, install and configure intelligent building management systems.
